  2. I know...it's unreal to think there was a time you could see Jose Feliciano for $2.50 in Athens, Ohio.
    However, it really happened.....

  4. Well, "Light My Fire, Light My Fire, Light My Fire"...ugh. Old guy tale: I saw Led Zeppelin twice, first time opening for The Who on the Tommy tour. A stunning show, Led Zeppelin was hardly known at that point, 1st record barely released here, made them all the better to "discover" on stage. At the time I did not think The Who could out perform LZ but they did. Instrumental chaos at the end (made perfect sense at the time), Townshend's guitar landed in my row a few seats to my left... one of those moments when time stopped briefly, everyone looking at the guitar on this guy's lap, then he disappeared under numerous fans. Years later while working in one of many record stores I struck up a conversation with a customer looking through bootlegs. Turned out he was an obsessed Who fan, and the guy who the guitar landed on a dozen years earlier (he still had the guitar). "Its a Small World After All"... did Felicano cover that tune as well?
